Thank you for taking a look at my work! My name is Emma LaPierre. I was born and raised in Burlington Vermont and I have been making artwork ever since early childhood. 

My illustrations are centered around animals and the natural world, as well as fantastical subjects with a connection to nature. My work is meant to evoke whimsical feelings that bring nostalgia to the mind; bringing back memories of what it often was like to discover the world as a child experiencing aspects of nature for the first time. 

My work is most often made with some variation of inks, watercolors, gouache, colored pencils and digital mediums. I almost never make an art piece with only one medium, bringing depth and a variety of different textures and patterns to a piece for the eye to explore.  

Other than drawing and painting, you can find me hiking the beautiful Vermont wilderness, reading and writing with a cup of tea and my cats, working out at the gym, or spending time with my friends and family. <3
